A Natal Birth Workshop brings together the key education points from the MummyNatal and award-winning DaddyNatal programmes into a single workshop for expectant parents.
We cover all the essentials for your big day, including:
What is labour?
The importance of the body/mind connection
Preparing mum for the sensations of birth
Breathing practise for birth
Creating a positive birthing environment
Preparing dad/partner for their role as a birth partner, so they can be more effective and confident, through learning practical skills and tools for their role, including what to do if things don’t go to plan
What is intervention and what happens if an intervention is suggested which wasn’t on your birth plan
B.R.A.I.N – what it means and how to use this tool
Both yourself and your birth partner can come away feeling a lot more confident about your birth choices and your journey ahead.
An empowering birth programme promoting informed choice, non-judgemental and unbiased education. Classes are suitable from 14 weeks!
Everything we do is transferable – it can be used in any birthing location, in any situation, for any woman. The skills you learn can even come in handy after baby is born. This is a Mums only class.
If you’re expecting a baby make sure you have all the basics of pregnancy, birth and early parenting covered with an NCT Essentials antenatal course.
NCT Essentials is designed to answer all your questions and get you ready for the big day, and beyond. These courses run over 12 hours in total.
Providing you with essential information and emotional support on pregnancy, birth and caring for your baby. With around two-thirds of your course focusing on life as a parent, you will come away clearer about what is right for you and your new family.

All NCT Essentials antenatal courses are led by specially-trained antenatal practitioners and courses are held at convenient locations during evening and weekdays. (Don’t worry if you work in the evening because you are legally allowed time off work to attend our antenatal courses if they’ve been recommended by a doctor or midwife.)

With a relaxed and friendly style, every NCT Signature antenatal course is as individual as you are. That’s because every course is tailored to the needs of the small group taking part.
All sessions are led by licensed experts, to prepare you both physically and emotionally for the arrival of your beautiful baby.
NCT Signature courses are longer than NCT Essentials courses, with a focus on the arrival of your baby – labour and birth alone making up around two-thirds of your course. With time to explore all your questions, hopes and anxieties in a safe and supportive space.

What happens in labour, role of a partner and how your baby is born
More complex pregnancies and medical procedures, including caesareans

Post-natal yoga is tailored specifically for the needs of the new mum and will help you regain strength and energy after the birth of your baby. It is a gentle way of building strength again in the pelvic floor, the abdomen and back muscles and legs, and also helps relieve aches and pains associated with pregnancy, childbirth and the continuing care of your new child. Specifically, yoga can be really beneficial in alleviating pelvic, back and shoulder pain and aching joints. Relaxation techniques will help reduce fatigue and make you feel more energised, calm and relaxed, allowing you to enjoy connecting with your baby.

A regular practice of gentle yoga throughout your pregnancy is a wonderful way to keep your body healthy and supple without over-exertion, alleviate the common ailments of pregnancy such as back and pelvic girdle pain, increase energy, improve sleep and ultimately connect with your baby.
Pregnancy yoga is suitable for mums-to-be from 15 weeks onwards.
In a pre-natal yoga session, you will learn
