A North Pole Breakfast traditionally marks the start of your Christmas Festivities; this could be 1st December (to coincide with the first door of an advent calendar and/or a visit from Elf on the Shelf) or your first Christmas weekend when you decide to put up a tree, decorate the house and make a real weekend of it! Another option (if the thought of MORE food doesn’t over face you) is to have it on Christmas day.
Table Decorations
Ooooooh YES, get out the tack!! Get out those Santa plates and Christmas cups- bring out that Christmas tablecloth. Use as much red, white and green out as you can. Inflatable snowman at the doorway? Why not? Crackers on the table? Of COURSE! Sprinkle with candy canes and gold coins. It’s nearly Christmas after all!
Are your children Frozen fans? Give your table an icy twist with blue and Frozen-themed table decorations.
A Sugar Feast
For anyone who loves ‘Elf’ as much as we do in our family, you’ll know that elves at the North Pole LOVE sugar. Think hot chocolates with marshmallows, pancakes with syrup and chocolate treats.
Fruity designs
For a healthier alternative, use chopped up fruit to design Christmas Trees or use straws rather than kebab sticks to make fruit candy canes or make a standard breakfast into something a little more interesting!
Reindeer Donuts or Croissants
How about this FABULOUS idea? Add mini pretzel twists to chocolate doughnuts or half croissants, pop a red M&M on for a nose (if your children are old enough) or throw in some nutrients with a red grape and how about milk chocolate buttons for eyes?
Create a Festive Masterpiece
Take some inspiration from our very own Wakefield Mumbler who clearly has hidden talents with this rather creative table centrepiece! Cut pineapple into a triangle shape and then add the other fruit with cocktail sticks. AMAZING!!
Christmas Activities
Now you’re in the Christmas mood why not make the rest of the day (or at least the morning) full of Christmassy fun too? Write those letters to Santa, do some Christmas crafts and start decorating your home.
