Join writer Becky Cherriman for a Zoom workshop, where you will delve into the world of writing and art. Make artworks come to life and write pieces that move the reader.
Becky works with writers of all ages and teaches creative writing at the University of Leeds. She believes that writing and the spoken word help us to make sense of the world and our place in it and can provide us with the tools to transform our lives. Her work has been named in prizes such as the Women’s Poetry Competition 2019 and the Forward Prize 2017 and much published including in her poetry pamphlet Echolocation and collection Empires of Clay. She also writes fiction and for theatre. She led the Ilkley and Bradford Young Writers with Michelle Scally Clarke between 2011 and 2019 www.beckycherriman.com.

Poetry and Animation Workshops
Join artist Alison Smith for a series of three free online workshops exploring poetry and animation. First, you’ll learn some creative writing techniques with poet and playwright Andy Craven Griffiths, then find out how to turn your poems into videos using stop motion animation and illustration with Alison.
