‘Let’s Talk About Babies’ a 5 week post-natal and baby massage course run by Claire Rowley a registered Health Visitor.
New course starting Wednesday 5th June 2024, 1.30-2.30pm, Ben Rhydding Methodist Church Hall, Ilkley, LS29 8PP
Join small, relaxed classes full of practical information to support you in caring for your new baby; learn about their early behaviour, sleep development, how to manage common illnesses and encourage their developing skills. Develop the gentle, soothing skill of baby massage through the ‘Hands on Babies’ massage course. Relax and get to know other new parents over tea and cake.

Breastfeeding Groups and Support in Leeds
What is a Breastfeeding Group?
These groups are all run slightly differently; however, you can rest assured you will always be welcomed by a friendly face and refreshments! All group leaders undertake breastfeeding training so that they can offer support and signpost if you need specific help. These groups are open to all breastfeeding mums.
What is a Breastfeeding Peer Support Group?
These groups are run by trained breastfeeding peer supporters. Peer supporters are mothers who have themselves breastfed and have undertaken a training course. They are not able to give specific advice but can offer suggestions and sign-post to the most appropriate and timely help. Any breastfeeding mum is welcome!
Breastfeeding Counsellors
Breastfeeding counsellors have all breastfed and had extensive training. They offer free support, information and practical help. They offer phone support and home visits.

The group is run by La Leche volunteers. La Leche League is an international charity, founded to give information and encouragement, mainly through personal help to all mothers who want to breastfeed their babies. La Leche League Leaders are mothers who have breastfed their own babies and enjoy helping other mothers to do so. They are accredited by La Leche League International, the world’s authority on breastfeeding.
