What’s on: Summer 2022

During the holidays, families will be able to enjoy a range of fun games and activities. Climb the secret steps, have an egg and spoon race, hula hoop or enjoy a game of hoop and stick.
Pick up your challenge card, so you can see how many you can tick off on a visit.
Family yoga sessions
Tuesdays during the holidays, 11am – 12pm.
Every Tuesday during the holidays join us for a family-friendly yoga session, outdoors in the gardens. Practice a range of poses and balances from “Every bunny is a yoga bunny”.
Summer crafts and indoor fun
Saturday – Wednesday, 10am – 4pm.
If the sun doesn’t shine all summer, there’s plenty to keep the little ones entertained indoors too. Get creative with free craft activities; a different one each week of the holidays.
There’s also a new “10 things” trail to discover in the house, where you can search for and learn more about some of the items in the collection.
Fun and games:
Play spaces
Have you completed the new Trim Trail? Behind the tea room, you’ll find this new play space. Clamber across bridges, balance on logs and tackle the climbing wall.
In the Discovery Garden, families can enjoy some wild play. Make the messiest mud pie ever in the mud pie kitchen, play the woodland xylophone, build a den or make some wild art on the weaving loom.
Fun and games
On sunny days, the deck chairs and lawn games will be out throughout the gardens. If you’re looking for a more relaxing day out, pull up a deck chair and enjoy the peaceful gardens while the little ones play with a selection of traditional lawn games.
All items from the tea room can be packaged to take away, perfect for picnicking or enjoying a fresh coffee or cup of tea in the sunshine.
