1. Jack Frost: A Joyful Christmas Adventure at Otley Courthouse
Dates: 17th -20th December & 21st – 22nd December 2019
Recommended Age: 4+ years
Jack Frost is a music-filled Christmas show about friendship and the joy of joining in. Holly, a little girl who plays the trumpet, befriends the magical winter sprite, Jack Frost. We follow Holly’s adventure into the ice-covered world of the mischievous yet lonely Jack. When plans for Holly’s school concert go awry, together Holly and Jack will make sure no-one is left outside this Christmas.

Carriageworks’ legendary panto will be true to panto form with magic, big song and dance numbers, sumptuous sets, dazzling costumes and laugh-out-loud jokes! Follow the story of Princess Ariana, who after pricking her finger on a magic spinning wheel, is placed under a curse, forcing her to sleep for 100 years.
Will the Princess be saved? Will Muddles find true love? Who will outwit Carabosse and foil her vile plans? Find out in the ultimate magical pantomime adventure!

6. Rainbow Factory Christmas Show – Jingle the Elf’s Fairytale Fiasco!
Dates: 14th December 2019 – 3rd January 2020
Recommended Age: This show has been specifically designed for the whole family to enjoy, ideally from the age of 2+.
Jingle the Elf has been naughty and has ended up on Santa’s naughty list – she needs to find a way to get on the good list and fast. She takes it upon herself to steal Santa’s sleigh and to travel to different fairytale lands to see if she can turn things around, but quite often she finds herself getting a little swayed with the villainous characters. Will Jingle find out the secret of how to get on the good list? Join us to find out!
All of Rainbow Factory’s shows are created, written, cast and performed in house. The shows are designed for audiences aged 2 – 102 to allow for a great experience for all the family. The relaxed, interactive performance style means you don’t have to worry about your little ones jumping around or getting out of their seats!

7. Red Riding Hood – The Rock ‘n’ Roll Panto – City Varieties Music Hall
Dates: 29th November 2019 to 12th January 2020
Recommended Age: 3+ (loud music is played live on stage + pyrotechnics are employed)
A high-octane panto mixing traditional elements of audience participation and corny gags plus the added bonus of a legendary ‘boulder’ battle (which has to be seen to be believed!) and a panoply of pop, rock and soul hits played live on stage!

8. A Merry Christmas Carol at Seven Arts Leeds

It’s the most wonderful time of the year – but not if your name is Ebenezer Scrooge! Scrooge is the most miserable man you’ll ever meet, and what’s worse – he hates Christmas!
Mr and Mrs Theatre Company return to Seven for their annual festive production, packed with song, dance, aerial performance and lashings of festive cheer. But hurry, last year both shows sold out faster then you could say ‘Bah Humbug’!

9. Wrongsemble Hansel & Gretel Festive Show
Dates: 7th December 2019 – 5th January 2020
Recommended Age: 4-10 years
Wrongsemble will return to Leeds Central Library with a brand-new Christmas show. Follow the trail of breadcrumbs to the library, where magic hides behind every bookshelf and there’s always more than two sides to every tale. There, they’ll buckle in for a rollercoaster ride of magic, music and mayhem as Hansel & Gretel crash-land in an enchanted world of stories and adventure.
All performances are followed by an interactive ‘Meet and Greet’ session with the cast onstage.

10. Festive Shows at Leeds Playhouse
