Work is underway to transform Peel Park’s play area into a modern and inclusive space to play and exercise.
Bradford Council’s Parks and Green Spaces Service has been working with ward members, the Friends Of Peel Park, the local community and schools to create a design for a new play area. The feedback has been that people wanted something that was more inclusive, but challenging and exciting for children and young people.
The new equipment will include an exercise trail, a group swing, climbing dome, double zip wire, large disc and dish roundabouts, picnic seating and a connecting pathway.
Tag the Totem Trail: Search for 12 creatures dotted around the park. Can you find all of them? And name
them? When you find one tick it off on your map (download here).
Take the Play Trail Challenge: can you leapfrog over the posts? Or climb on the bird’s nest? Find, climb
on, under or through 9 wooden ‘play challenges’ around the park.
Finger Mazes: Feel your way through the four-finger mazes.
