Parents and carers have until 31 October to submit their applications for their child’s secondary school place (year 7) for September 2024.
Families are advised to use all five of their preferences to give their child the best chance of being allocated a place at a preferred school as using less doesn’t increase the chances of being offered your first preference.
The simple and secure application form can be completed online at www.leeds.gov.uk/apply.
Families will also find a range of information on the website to help them choose their five preferences, including advice on the application process, links to individual admissions policies and Ofsted reports, information about school transport, as well as allocation data from previous years to help families decide if there is a reasonable chance of being offered a place at the schools they are listing.
There are other options for those without access to online facilities and these can be discussed with the admissions team by calling 0113 222 4414.
For those applying using our online portal, offers will be sent out by email on Monday 1 March 2024 during working hours. For those that apply by any other means, letter will be posted on 1 March, so will arrive later that week.

We offer the opportunity for you to see the school in action during the morning from 9.10 am to 10.40 am where current students will take you on a guided tour.
In the evening, the main school is open from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm with presentations from the Headteacher in B-Hall starting at 5.30 pm.
Representatives of Bradford Council are available on the night to clarify or discuss any questions around admissions to IGS for the coming September; although we are an Academy, we continue to enlist Bradford to administer our admissions.
On Monday 2nd October 2023 from 6pm until 8.30pm, we will be inviting Year 6 students and their parents and carers to join us for an evening of hands-on activities, talks and tours, to find out about life at Prince Henry’s.

On Saturday 30 September 2023 St Mary’s will welcome prospective Year 6 pupils and their families to and share with them all that is wonderful about our school community. There will be a range of activities taking place across the school which will give our visitors an insight into life at St Mary’s.
