Dance Classes

Tiny Tots   9am-9.30am
Ages 3-4.  Children are allowed to explore the rhythm of the music in their own way but are encouraged to follow the teacher and learn some basic skills and techniques. This class is about encouraging children to enjoy dance and explore moves/the rhythm in their own way.

Minis      9.30am-10.15am
Ages 5 – 9 years   Children will be learning skills and techniques to help them learn a variety of dance styles; jazz, modern, hip hop and contemporary. Children also do ballet at the bar & learn the basic techniques in ballet, helping to strengthen muscles and increase flexibility.

Juniors  9+     10.15am – 11.15am
Children work on skills and techniques, there is an allocated time within the class to work on strengthening their core, improving flexibility and improving their overall performance. The songs chosen allow a mix of dance styles to be combined together such as contemporary and jazz.

Tap Classes

Mini tap 10.15am -11am

Children will start to develop the skills and techniques that are important in tap & start to develop their repertoire of moves. They will start to explore the sounds that their shoes can make depending on which part of your foot you use. They will start to put combinations of moves together to create a sequence.

Senior Tap     11.00am -12noon
Children continue to develop the skills and techniques that are important in tap & continue to develop their repertoire of moves. The moves become more complex, as well as the movement sequences that are put together.

All of the classes allow the children to develop and progress as well as enjoy what they are doing/learning. All of the children come into their classes smiling and always leave smiling, each class allows the children to have fun as well as learn and improve their own skills.

Fun, structured play sessions take children on a journey of sporting imagination with engaging and energetic coaches supporting them every step of the way whilst teaching how to catch, pass, kick, run with the ball and play as part of a team. Deliver a specifically designed programme for each age group with energy, enthusiasm and excitement.

“Be prepared to run across the jungle, wade through the quicksand or sprint through Rugbytots Valley avoiding all the smoking boulders.”

Age 2 – 3.5:  Youngest classes require full parent participation and offer a fantastic opportunity to spend quality time with your child whilst they learn new skills, meet new friends and have an exciting introduction to Rugby.

Age 3.5 – 5: These classes do not require full parent participation. Your Rugbytot will be part of a dynamic session that will develop their social and physical skills in a positive environment.

Age 5 -7: Older age group classes really start to prepare children for life after Rugbytots. The same structure is followed but these sessions involve advanced team games and ensure that the basic skills of rugby are coached in the right way by maintaining small class numbers.
