Under-fives can explore the senses of sight, touch, taste, hearing and smell in the roleplay medical centre. Crawl through the digestive system and find your way out down the poo slide in our exciting softplay area!
You will be guided by our five feel-good friends; Wise Eyes the Owl, Katrina the Caterpillar, Gnasha the Crocodile, Dr Ele the Elephant and Medi the Monkey.
Under-fives go free when accompanying a visitor with an adult ticket to the museum – just tell our team you’d like to book a slot on your arrival.
Already have a museum ticket? This includes free access to SPARKS! but we’d advise booking a slot as soon as you arrive at the museum.
If you don’t have time to visit the rest of the museum or just want to book a visit to SPARKS! You can pre-book a slot £2 per child.

Discover Tiny Tetley Studio, a new artist-designed play space for children under 5.
Artist and early years specialist Stephanie Jefferies invites you to get creative and spend time together in this immersive environment, where you can touch, climb and slide!
In the Tiny Tetley Studio, Jefferies uses play and contemporary art to create an alternative to commercial spaces for children and their families.
Tiny Tetley Studio features a bespoke sound installation by Buffalo Sound Design, play structures designed and built-in collaboration with Three Create, and crocheted breastfeeding aids from Leeds Bosom Buddies.
