Wharfedale Bee Keepers Association sponsors this free event for everyone to come along, and find out about bees and the role they play in keeping people and the planet alive.
A Series of Activities and Films to mark World Bee Day.
2pm – 5pm: Activities in the afternoon will include…Find out about Asian hornets. Look at bees through a microscope. Make your own beeswax candles (small charge for materials). Why do bees sting?
3.30pm Film – Maya the Bee (free)
7pm – 7.30pm For the evening Q&A session…All welcome to ask any bee related queries and check what we can all do to help.
7.45pm Film – The Secret Life of Bees (free)
Films tickets are free but need to be booked at the Courthouse as numbers are limited.
