The Great Skipton Santa Fun Run is a 5km charity run and walk organised by The Rotary Club of Skipton Craven.
Taking place at 1100 on Sunday 28th November 2021, the run will start and finish on Skipton High Street, and is a precursor to the Christmas Lights switch on later on in the day.
On the last Sunday in November of each year since 2010, the streets and footpaths of Skipton have been turned red by those who are taking part in The Great Skipton Santa Fun Run
This annual event organised by the Rotary Club of Skipton Craven and supported by Skipton Town Council, Craven District Council and Skipton Business District kicks off the Christmas festivities and is a precursor to the switching on of the Christmas lights in Skipton.
Last year, we were unable to stage the event because of Covid-19 restrictions.
We are grateful to the 150 participants and supporters of our Great Skipton Virtual Santa Fun Run 2020 which, through entry fees, donations and sponsorship, raised nearly £25,000, thus enabling The Rotary Club of Skipton Craven Charitable Trust to donate £10,500 to Manorlands Hospice (Sue Ryder), £10,000 to the Marie Curie Hospice in Bradford and the remainder to local charities.
Let’s see if we can achieve our target of 2,000 runners and raise lots of money for Manorlands, local charities and your own nominated charities, at the Great Skipton Santa Fun Run 2021 at 1100 on Sunday 28th November 2021.
