Meet Mary Ryan*, a mill worker. Explore her tale as she takes you on a journey through time, textiles and tragedy. Find out about spinning and weaving, as Mary tells of her life ‘in’t mill’, the smells, the noise, her own and her daughter’s tragic end. Discover how their past is linked to the present through the ‘Wonder and Dread’ exhibition by artist Alke Schmidt.
