Planetarium shows at Leeds City Museum

April 2 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Date/Time: 02 April 2024 Bookable slots – coming soon

Venue: Leeds City Museum
Price: Donations welcome

Book to experience our pop up Planetarium shows for ages 5+ at the museum this Easter.

Our main hall will be transformed to house the giant inflatable Planetarium, so kids can enjoy an immersive experience without leaving Earth!

Discover the magic of the cosmos, from beautiful constellations to the discoveries we’ve made and find out just how vast the solar system is. The imagery takes you beyond our planet and transports you to the far reaches of the solar system. Experience the Curiosity Rover plunging towards Mars, fly through the crevasses of icy moons, and take a tour of the constellations. The 360-degree experience is great for families to experience space together and ignite enthusiasm for future astronomers and space scientists.

We are also running a relaxed, quieter session at 3pm for families with additional needs. There will be a separate booking link for this session. We have a maximum of 50 places per show with floor seating and 8 chairs will be available for those who may have mobility difficulties. We ask that anyone requiring a chair please contact us at city.museum@leeds.gov.uk  to be allocated one.

Show times:
10am-10.45am
11am-11.45am
12pm-12.45pm
1pm-1.45pm
2pm-2.45pm

Pick up a constellation trail while you’re here and go on a museum stargazing adventure, throughout the school holidays during opening hours.

This event is part of our Easter space programme and the Leodis Space Agency from Leeds BID.

The exclusive Planetarium experience is only at the museum for one day, so booking is essential. Tickets coming soon.
