Family fun at the civic art gallery!
Celebrate the opening of the new exhibition, ‘Peter Rabbit: Mischief and Mayhem’, featuring rarely seen original illustrations and early manuscripts by Beatrix Potter from ‘The Tale of Peter Rabbit’. Developed in partnership with Penguin Ventures and The River and Rowing Museum.
Bunnies will be bouncing all over the gallery, as Peter Rabbit hops, skips and jumps right off the page in an interactive exhibition about Beatrix Potter’s most famous creation.
Help Mrs Tiggy-Winkle hang up the laundry or visit Mrs Rabbit in her burrow! Children can dress up as Peter, curl up with a book in the story corner or enjoy planting carrots in Mr McGregors’s garden.
Facepainting by Artifaces will be on hand to turn you into your favourite Beatrix Potter character. Plus balloon modelling to take your own Peter Rabbit and friends home. Refreshments provided.
There is a small entry charge of £3 per person to this exhibition. Under 2’s free.
