Carnival day – Saturday 16 June
Parade of floats, bands and walking groups leaves the Auction Mart on Leeds road and passes through the town centre and over the bridge to the Show Ground.
There is NO CHARGE to come on to the Carnival field, where there are charity, trade and food stalls, children’s rides, Punch and Judy, donkey rides and entertainment in the main arena. The main arena entertainment is a bird of prey display by Hawkeye Falconry and we also have a dance display by Footloose Dance School and a football match and penalty shootout with the Weston Lane Junior Football Club.
