Draw The Dragon, part of The BIG Draw at Leeds Markets
#DrawTheDragon FREE October half term activities at Leeds Kirkgate Market
We are inviting people to take part in our Big Draw Festival AND … #DrawTheDragon !!! Leeds Kirkgate Market has invited experienced artist and artist educator John Mayson (ArtJohn) to create a fantastic mural of our Leeds Kirkgate Market dragon in the Market Kitchen area. Visiting families will work with ArtJohn to create drawings inspired by the sights, sounds, smells and characters of the market. It might be a drawing of a crab from our famous fish and game row or a flower, colourful carpet or unusual piece of fruit. These drawings will then be transferred onto a giant dragon outline by ArtJohn using an old skool over-head projector. These drawings will be layered within the dragon outline to create a vibrant and detailed collaborative piece of permanent artwork for everyone to enjoy.
