This year the annual Ilkley Christmas Tree Festival will be held on Thursday 21st, Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd November 2019 at the St Margaret’s Church, Ilkley.
Born out of a love of Christmas, charity, and the Ilkley community… and taking inspiration from other Christmas Tree Festivals across the UK… this event provides a festive platform to showcase hardworking community groups and charities in and around Ilkley.
Over 20 trees are on display for the duration of the event, each lit up and decorated individually by a local community group or charity. A programme of Christmas music is performed by local musicians and singers, and refreshments are available to purchase. We also welcome visitors to vote for their favourite tree (which is announced at the end of the festival).
Run by volunteers, the festival is not-for-profit. Proceeds from voluntary donations given on the door are split across two charities, which are rotated each year.
It is a magical event – designed to engage the whole community regardless of age, ability, faith or finance – and heighten the magic of Christmas.
