Dru Yoga is hosting a special fundraising event to encourage the local community to take time out to focus on their health and wellbeing. As a not-for-profit social enterprise, Dru Yoga reinvests any proceeds to create positive social change and inspire a healthier way of living for everybody.
“We’re really excited to share Dru Yoga with the local community. So many people are busy, stressed and run down, it’s more important than ever to take time out to focus on our health and wellbeing. Not just our physical health but our mental wellbeing too. Practicing yoga can improve flexibility, help to ease back pain, increase energy levels, and reduce stress. We have a very special day planned, and most of all it will be light-hearted and fun. Come and join us!”
There will be three yoga workshops throughout the day, each focussing on a different theme. Taught by qualified Dru Yoga instructors, the workshops are: Rise & Shine at 10am, Health & Wellbeing 12noon, Relax & Unwind at 3pm. Anyone can attend an individual workshop, or book for the whole day to experience the full breadth of Dru Yoga.
Dru Yoga is a very inclusive form of yoga, suitable for any age, body type, and fitness level. Whether you’re experienced in yoga or a complete beginner, you’ll leave feeling informed and inspired to take charge of your health and wellbeing.
There will also be stalls offering books, DVDs, and CDs relating to health and wellbeing, plus homemade cakes, friendly conversation and much more. All proceeds go towards establishing a wider Dru Yoga community, offering more events, workshops and classes in the Leeds and surrounding area.

Details of the three workshops are as follows:
Rise & Shine at 10.00-12.00noon: Feel totally energised and refreshed in this dynamic and flowing session. Wake up your body and mind by freeing up energy in the spine with a series of wonderful movements.
Health & Wellbeing at 12.30-2.30pm: Learn how to nurture yourself on all levels in this inspiring and informative session. Through specific practices, you will encourage your body and mind to heal and reset.
Relax & Unwind at 3.00-5.00pm: Take some time to de-stress and slow down in this truly restorative session. Incorporating gentle movements and breathing, then finishing with a well-deserved, calming relaxation.
Cost is £15 for one workshop, £25 for two, or just £35 for all three.
