Thwaite Watermill – Discover Thwaite this Summer (10-29 August 2021 – we’ll have trails over 6 weeks of summer but the bulk of activity takes place then)
Thwaite Watermill is nestled on a tiny island by the canal, a short distance from Leeds City Centre. This summer they celebrate the joy of nature and the outdoors with family fun activities including mini-beast magic and Green Week. There’s story time and crafts with Matthew Bellwood and willow weaving on 26 August. Head down to craft and create a willow fish or bird feeder in workshops delivered by Twigs & Sprigs. Get up close to mini beasts with handling sessions delivered by Lion Learners on 12 August and explore insects and creepy crawlies from the Leeds collection. There’s free trails and activity packs too, plus plenty of places to pitch a picnic in the sunshine!
