Below the Salt – Temple Newsam (until 31 Oct 2021)
Artist Catherine Bertola presents Below the Salt, an exhibition exploring how Temple Newsam House has been occupied over the course of its history, and how social hierarchies have been expressed through the architecture and use of materials within the building, segregating those who lived from those who worked. The original inventory of Temple Newsam House is on display dating back to from 1520, alongside photography and audio visual works.
