Come on down to our elven bivouac to meet Santa, Snowy Flake and his friends under the magical wishing tree for stories and elf tales . Visit Dizzy Bells in Reindeer Emporium and take home some magical reindeer feed for Rudolph on Christmas Eve. Pop by and say hello to Postmaster Pippin McJingles in Ye Olde Post Office Central to ensure your letter to Santa is safely on its way. Finally meet the main man himself in Santa’s Cabin for a special Christmas one to one, and a little present for the journey home. This experience is about 40 minutes in total. Adults will be required to book a timed entry for The Christmas Experience.
Preschoolers Santa’s Cabin in the Elf Village – For the smallest of little people, we are offering an opportunity to say hello with Santa in his cabin and receive a special Christmas gift. Pre-booking required. Running Monday to Friday from 11am – 2pm from 30 November to 18 December.

Chief Elf Chestnut has the important task of warming you up before entering the stunning grotto that leads you through to meet Santa. Receive a very special gift and have a photo taken, which will then be available to buy in the Christmas Shop alongside an array of wonderful gifts and decorations.

A Christmas treat for all the family. Wander through the decorated Victorian Streets, listen to the carols, get creative with your Christmas list and visit Father Christmas in his winter wonderland grotto. Dress up, decorate a Christmas ornament and have a go at the Christmas trail.
On 7 December from 9.30-11.30am, there are relaxed Santa visits for those who might find a trip to the museum a little daunting.
Price: Grotto visits are priced at £4.50 + general admission.
Throughout December you can discover how everyone gets ready for Christmas at Temple Newsam. Delight in the splendour of the festive preparations and see how the Tudors, Georgians and Victorians celebrated Christmas. Take part in Christmas crafts including wreath making in the Joiners Shop and pay a visit to Santa in his workshop to receive a free gift! Don’t forget to book a timeslot to avoid disappointment.

Your journey begins with a cheery visit to Father Christmas’ cottage, where you’ll be met with a very warm welcome from Mrs Christmas, followed by an encounter filled with interactive stories and songs, a photo opportunity with Father Christmas and a personalised traditional gift for every child.
