The Grotto will be open between 11am and 6pm every Saturday and Sunday in December and you can book a private 15minutes slot for up to 3 kids to visit Santa at a time. So gather your friends and family for great festive fun!

Come and visit Santa in his Grotto this Christmas, here at Kirkgate! Tell the main man what you want for Christmas, and if you’ve been good this year, you might be in for a treat! The Grotto is free to attend and is located on the Lower Mall.
The grotto will be open from:
Sunday 19th November and then every Saturday and Sunday
10:30am – 12:30pm and 1:00pm – 3:00pm.
Christmas Week Opening:
Monday 18th – Christmas Eve

Starting Saturday 2nd December, running each Saturday and Sunday until Christmas Eve (24th).
Christmas magic will start when you enter our festively decorated Engine House. You will pick up your tickets and present vouchers then head out to the Santa Special waiting on the platform. On your journey to the park and back, Santa will have a specially selected present for each young audience member.

‘The Elf Explorer’, A journey of festive discovery where the magic of Christmas comes to life!

Arrive at Oxenhope station and explore the winter wonderland with a North Pole Elf. Write a list for Santa then board The Elf Explorer steam train for a fun-filled adventure. Father Christmas will join you and if the children have been good, they’ll receive their first gift of the Christmas season.
A new feature to this year’s Elf Explorer is a 20-minute Elf show that will take place on stage in the Exhibition Hall!
