This challenge is yours – whether you’ve just bought your first pair of trainers, or you’re a seasoned running champ, the goal is yours to set. You could push your limits, challenge your mates, even challenge the dog! If you’re not a runner, you can also find another type of exercise – whatever takes your fancy.
Complete it where you want:
All you need is at least one space close to home – we have loads of great parks in Leeds, so this is a chance to get to know your local area a bit better.
Our favourite parks in Leeds include:
That being said, you can take part wherever you are in the world (it doesn’t even have to be outdoors – but it does have to be legal!).
Complete in your own time:
You’ve got 12 weeks (1 February to 30 April) to hit the target. Some will complete 5k each week, others will do 50k in 2 days – the choices are endless.
Get motivated:
At the start of a new year, having a target can give you the extra motivation you need. Not only is this an opportunity to keep fit, train for a future event or just get some fresh air, you’ll also be making a huge difference to our NHS heroes and patients at Leeds Teaching Hospitals.
