Wharfedale & Craven and the surrounding areas are a fantastic place for bringing up children and there is plenty of choices when it comes to swimming lessons!

Baby swimming with Water Babies is an exciting, enriching experience for both you and your little one. Not only does it teach vital life skills, but it also enhances the way babies and toddlers learn other skills, too. No one else reaches our high standards of professionalism, and no one else works harder to make sure you and your little one feel happy and safe. And we always incorporate lots of bonding, fun and socialising, so you can be sure that a Water Baby is a happy baby!

At InGear, we pride ourselves on high quality teaching and follow the Swim England “Learn to Swim” Programme which helps children develop the skills they need to become confident swimmers. We also focus on distance awards to increase strength and stamina.
Our teachers are in the pool with the children until Stage 4 (so no need for parents to get in the pool) with a maximum of 5 children per lesson. We keep our class sizes small to ensure complete engagement and help aid quicker progression.

Prince Henry’s Grammar School, Otley (Ideal if you’re from Harrogate, Huby, Pool In Wharfedale Bramhope, Menston, Ilkley, Guiseley)
Monday and Tuesday after school 4-7pm – Pre-school (duckling) classes up to challenge award From 2.5 years upwards
Saturday and Sunday morning & late afternoon/early evening 3:30-6:30 – Pre-school (duckling) classes up to challenge award From 2.5 years upwards
Ilkley Grammar School (Ideal for Addingham, Otley, Skipton residents)
The Highfield Hotel, Idle (Ideal for Yeadon, Rawdon, Guiseley, Menston, Thacklay, Baildon, Apperley Bridge residents)
Monday & Friday 10-12pm – Pre-school (duckling) classes from 2.5 years upwards
Monday, Wednesday & Friday after school 3:30-6:30pm – Stage 1 (complete beginner) classes up to challenge award From 4 years upwards to stage 7
The Mercure Parkway Hotel Bramhope (pre-school only)
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning 9:30 onwards – pre-school (duckling) classes from 2.5 years upwards

Aqua Academy Aim to provide top quality private swimming lessons at our very own swimming pool New Laithe Farm Crosshills. Lessons are either 2-1 or 3-1. Children learn to swim safely and quickly as all of our swimming teachers are in the water.
