Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal: May Half Term

May half term at Fountains Abbey

This May half term it’s all about birds and nature at Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal. This 800-acre site is bursting with life, splashing its colour and getting ready to welcome you for an exciting May half term adventure.

Head to the bird hide, just 2 minutes from the visitor centre, to explore and discover the different birds that live in these trees. Look up into the deep green canopies, how many papier mache bird you can spot? Do they match the birds on your spotter sheet?

The papier mache birds have been crafted by Henshaws, a northern charity supporting people living with sight loss and a range of other disabilities.

Craft activity: Wednesday 28 May, 10am – 2.30pm

Head to Swanley Grange, join Henshaws and make your own bird decoration to take home and hang in your indoor or outdoor spaces. Drop in any time between 10am and 2.30pm, meet the team from Henshaws and start your crafting.
