Santa’s sleigh has crashed in Leeds City Centre. Don’t worry Santa and his reindeers are all fine. Parts of his sleigh have been strewn over 10 locations in the city. Santa needs your help to find all of the parts so we can put the sleigh back together in time for Christmas! Need some clues? Scroll down!
How can families help Santa?
DOWNLOAD THE MAP HERE, or collect a paper map from a number of city-centrelocations:
Outside of the city centre:
The map will show you the locations of where Santa’s items can be found. Navigate you way around Leeds City Centre with your map and find all of the 10 items. Simply write the location of each item you have found until you have completed the trail.
Completing the trail
Once you have completed the trail, you are invited to meet Santa on Briggate on Tuesday 22nd December or Wednesday 23rd December 10.00 to 16.00. Don’t forget to bring your completed trail map with you! Children who have completed the trail will receive a little thank you gift from Santa.
If you have completed the trail before 22nd Dec and you cannot come back to meet with Santa, or you are doing the trail after the 23rd December you can take your completed map to the following locations:
CLUES
Mandela Gardens – Search the statues for a sign, you’ll want to grab this clue with Both Arms
City Square – Did the Black Prince always wear that on his head?
Leeds City Museum – Have a look around the entrance to the museum and you’ll be a shoe-in to find another item
Millennium Square – To tick another one off the list, why not ask the wise owls who stand proudly outside the Civic Hall
Merrion Gardens – Peer through the gates of the Tudor building, you may be taken aback
Kirkgate Market – Do a runner to the corner of Vicar Lane and Ludgate Hill and look at the market entrance
Victoria Gardens – Take a look at the trees by the Christmas market and you might find a gift
Trinity Leeds – You may already be walking along Albion Street looking for presents, but this item may be on top of the shop rather than inside
Briggate – The Tipi on Briggate is the ideal place to stop for a snack – there may even be some outside for our four-hoofed friends
Dortmund Square – Have a look and a listen – did the trees outside St Johns Centre always jingle like that?
Thanks for Saving Santa’s Sleigh and rescuing Christmas!
