Do you like Christmas? Do twinkling lights and the smell of pine trees give you a warm glow inside? Then you’ll want to make sure a visit to the Ilkley Christmas Tree Festival is included in your plans this Christmas.
Born out of a love of Christmas, charity, and the Ilkley community… and taking inspiration from Christmas Tree festivals in Otley and other UK towns… a small team of volunteers are bringing the first Christmas tree festival to Ilkley this year.
Taking place in St Margaret’s Church, Ilkley, the Christmas Tree Festival will be held across two days on 23rd and 24th November 2018.
Local community groups and charities will each decorate a tree in whatever creative style they wish, resulting in a magical display of over 20 decorated trees lighting up the venue.
Local music groups and choirs will be playing Christmas music at intervals, and refreshments will be available.
Come along to soak up the festive atmosphere, enjoy the music and place your vote for the best-decorated tree. Voluntary donation on the door.
It’s going to be a unique event; designed to raise awareness and money for our hardworking voluntary groups, bring the community together and heighten the magic of Christmas.
