Baby Week is an initiative aimed at bringing sectors and services together to promote the ‘best start’ in life; support parents, carers and families; promote good health and wellbeing and celebrate babies! This year’s theme is ‘Strengths and Struggles’.
Many of the events and activities taking place during the week are either low cost or free! Yay!
The programme of events can be found on our new website: www.babyweek.co.uk – which is having its final few changes! We hope you like it. Many of our event planners are finalising details of locations/timings so please be patient with us, next week – there will be many more events added to the page including a few fantastic and baby-friendly film screenings!
If you are an organisation and would like to offer an activity during this week under the Baby Week Leeds umbrella, please submit on the website. Simply go on to our website, click the events page and ‘submit your event’ and we will get it live as soon as possible. We have attached our logo to badge your event during Baby Week Leeds 15 – 21 November 2021 and we’re now taking Baby Week national with Bradford, Cheshire and Merseyside hosting their Baby Week – so keep an eye out for some joint events!
We’re working with partners to include taster sessions offering sensory experiences, stories, play and gymnastics all for your little ones. There is also a half-day free conference for professionals, which will focus on maternity and experiences during COVID-19, mental health, health inequalities and early years. For expectant parents and parents/carers, there will be a baby-friendly film screening, free first-aid training, discussion and well-being sessions as well as a brilliant open and safe virtual Q&A session with experts including midwives, infant feeding specialists, GP and many more!
Don’t forget to use #BabyWeekLeeds and tag in @BabyWeekUK on social media and you can also co-host us on any events planned for the week.
