There’s something for the whole family at England’s Oldest Tourist Attraction, including the birthplace of the Yorkshire Prophetess Mother Shipton, the incredible Petrifying Well, a large children’s Adventure Playground (access is subject to weather conditions), and a Museum & Gift Shop.

Scrumptious ice cream is available to purchase as well as hot dogs, sweet and savoury treats, take-away coffee, tea, hot chocolate and refreshments from our lovely vintage-style kiosks in the middle of the woodland walk.

There are plenty of picnic benches to enjoy your very own tea party, surrounded by scenic views of our BLOOMING beautiful woodland as it comes alive with the colours of Spring.

Dogs on a lead are welcome everywhere except the adventure playground for a picturesque mile-long walk along the River Nidd.

We are excited to invite you to join us this Easter weekend for an enchanting escapade that will take you on a whimsical journey to Wonderland. Our center will be transformed into a magical world, where you will be greeted by The Mad Hatter, Bravo the Magician and hosted by The Queen of Hearts.

You will embark on a quest to find Rhubarb the Rabbit, who has mysteriously vanished. The Mad Hatter and his friends will lead you on an adventure, filled with magic, puzzles and challenges that will test your skills and encounter some of Wonderlands most eccentric characters along the way!

Treat the whole family to some seasonal fun at Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal on an Easter trail.

Easter Egg Hunt, Saturday 23 March – Sunday 7 April, 10am – 4pm.

Make your way along the Easter adventure trail and find activities for the whole family. Come along and explore the beautiful gardens and historic abbey ruins of Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal.

Who’ll get the top score at welly wanging? Can you weave your way through the rope web? How many sticks, twigs and feathers will you gather to help us build our giant egg nest?

Prices are £3 per trail which includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and dairy or vegan and Free From* chocolate egg.

Coniston Estate Easter Egg Trail

Join us for a self-guided Easter Trail through our picturesque, private 1,400 acre estate. With your activity sheet in hand, take in the fresh air, soak up the springtime scenery and look out for clues along the way to help you solve our Easter mystery. At the end of the trail children will receive their very own Easter egg from the Easter bunny, activity pack and voucher to enjoy a hot chocolate at the hotel! Why not join us after the trail at the hotel for our ‘pop up’ pizza and pudding offering in the Banner Suite?

Easter at Middleton Railway

Start your Easter Bank Holiday on a train with services leaving Moor Road station. Step aboard one of our carriages hauled by one of our historic diesel engines, and enjoy a ride down to Park Halt.

Here, if you wish, you can disembark the train, and enjoy a walk around Middleton Park, have a picnic, and enjoy the calm tranquillity of the area.

Alternatively, you can stay onboard, and return to Moor Road, where you can purchase a cup of tea, coffee and light refreshments in the cafe.

Once refreshed, you can ride again – our tickets are Day Rover tickets!

Every Saturday morning, you can see beloved family favourites as part of Kids’ Club, all for the reduced price of £3. Over the Easter holidays, Kids’ Club will include additional screenings on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 March. Easter Trail at Bolton Abbey

Hop through Strid Wood and keep your eyes peeled for our larger than life bunnies hiding in the trees. They shouldn’t be too hard to find with their brightly coloured coats on! Activity sheets will be issued from the car park kiosks on arrival. Tickets must be pre-booked.

Shipley Glen Tramway Easter Bank Holiday Weekend

Come and join in on the Easter fun at the Shipley Glen Tramway! The Easter Bunny will be making a special appearance, so don’t miss your chance to say ‘Hi’ and snap a photo with him.
