There’s something for the whole family at England’s Oldest Tourist Attraction, including the birthplace of the Yorkshire Prophetess Mother Shipton, the incredible Petrifying Well, a large children’s Adventure Playground (access is subject to weather conditions), and a Museum & Gift Shop.
Scrumptious ice cream is available to purchase as well as hot dogs, sweet and savoury treats, take-away coffee, tea, hot chocolate and refreshments from our lovely vintage-style kiosks in the middle of the woodland walk.
There are plenty of picnic benches to enjoy your very own tea party, surrounded by scenic views of our BLOOMING beautiful woodland as it comes alive with the colours of Spring.
Dogs on a lead are welcome everywhere except the adventure playground for a picturesque mile-long walk along the River Nidd.

Start your Easter adventures this school holiday with the National Trust. Each 10-point trail has nature themed challenges around a Yorkshire garden near you. Pick your nearest or head further afield, with many running over two weeks, you could try a few.
In North Yorkshire pick from Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal, Beningbrough, Ormesby Hall, Brimham Rocks and Nunnington Hall. In West Yorkshire head to Nostell and East Riddlesden Hall, and further south visit Wentworth Castle Gardens.
Prices are £3 per trail which includes an Easter trail sheet for that garden adventure, bunny ears to make and wear and a dairy or vegan and Free From chocolate egg prize at the end. Normal admission charges apply to each place, or free to National Trust members and under-fives.

Get ready for an egg-cellent adventure this Easter at the Prince of Wales Park! From 23 March 2024 to 14 April 2024, families and friends are invited to join in on the fun and follow the Easter Trail. This exciting event will take you on a journey through the park, where you’ll hunt down cut-out eggs hidden in the trees.
Each egg holds a clue that will lead you to the next one, so put your detective skills to the test and see if you can uncover them all! Once you’ve completed the trail, head to the arena between 11:00 -12:00 on Wednesdays or Saturdays during the trail dates. Don’t forget to bring your completed list and claim your prize!
Maps for the Easter Trail will be available from the event’s start date and can be obtained from the park’s drinking fountain or the Friends of Prince of Wales Park website. Don’t worry if you can’t make it to the park on the first day, the maps will be available throughout the entire duration of the event. So there’s no excuse to miss out on the fun!
