Suitable for all ages, explore the spooky forest and Halloween Haunted Village, but watch out for witches, ghosts and creepy skeletons around every corner! There’s lots of ghoulish fun to be had with photo opportunities and fancy dress competitions.
See the incredible Petrifying Well and the birthplace of a real witch at Mother Shipton’s Cave! The park has scenic picnic areas alongside the popular River Nidd, an adventure playground, gift shop and museum.
Grab your coat and wellies and explore the wonderful World Heritage Site on your doorstep! The trees are dressed in their best reds and golds providing a beautiful backdrop for the water garden and abbey. It’s a little chilly now autumn has arrived but don’t let that stop you from crunching through leaves and exploring the colourful landscape.
Every Saturday in October and Friday 22 & 29 join us to have an after-dark experience you won’t forget at Fountains by Floodlight. Wander through glowing ruins, under shadowed archways and hear haunting choral music ringing through the cellarium. Booking is essential.

Keep the children spellbound this October half term with a week of frightful fun!
There will be lots of spellbinding surprises in store in the Enchanted Forest, and little ones will love to explore our pumpkin patch, to pick their very own pumpkin to take home! Spooky real live characters will be dotted around the park, making fantastic photo opportunities and enchanting interactions for the whole family to enjoy!
New for this year, skeletons have taken over Stockeld, with the skeleton trail! Will you spot them all? Make sure you don’t get trapped in the Hansels and Gretel’s jail! Try your luck in the graveyard golf – our brand new Halloween mini golf – undercover so you can play whatever the weather!
Every child with a paid-for ticket will get to choose their pumpkin for FREE!

Enter at your own risk through the giant spooky gates at the start of Strid Wood. Follow our trail of oversized pumpkins through Strid Wood and discover the mystery doors hidden among the trees. Behind each door is a clue to help unravel the witch’s magical spell. With a fun surprise awaiting you at The Strid, it will be worth the journey to get there!

Diggerland is the perfect place to go for an action-packed family day out. Experience the variety of rides and drives on offer – whether it’s testing your driving skills on a Dumper Truck, hanging tight on the world-famous Spindizzy ride, or hooking a duck using the controls of a digger all whilst sitting in the cab, there really is something for all ages!

Discover the blue lady and the ghostly residents of Home Farm and Temple Newsam House during the spooky week of Halloween half term. Hear terrifying tales about the history of the estate and the ghosts and ghouls who creep through the corridors in the dead of night!
